Healthcare Professional Roles: Students will learn about the various roles of healthcare professionals, including medical billers and coders. They will gain insight into the average day of these professionals and develop an understanding of the personal qualities and desirable character traits needed, such as attention to detail, organizational skills, and integrity.

Legal & Ethical Standards: Emphasis is placed on maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to legal and ethical standards within the healthcare environment, ensuring that students understand the importance of HIPAA and other regulations.

Medical Terminology & Human Body: Students will develop a solid understanding of medical terminology and its application in the billing and coding process. This includes learning terms related to anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions.
